PLEATED AIR FILTER PANELS AND INSERTS
Applications
Used to upgrade any filtering system when a higher air cleaning efficiency and dust holding capacity is required. Efficiency of existing “V” bank and flat bank systems can be increased without expensive sheet metal renovations. Also used as pre-filters for high efficiency and absolute filters. Integral pleat separators on the 4” filters provide additional pleat stabilization for the most demanding applications
Air Filter Media
High performance synthetic or synthetic/cotton fabric bonded to a metal grid on the air-exiting side, to prevent fluttering, and maintain uniformity of the pleats. Controlled pleat spacing for uniform dust lodging, full media utillization, and uniform air flow up and downstream..

Pleat Operation
Air pressure is diffused over the entire pleated surface. Heavier particles lodge in the back of the pleats while finer particles are able to change direction and are deposited on the sides of the pleats. Accumulating particles provide an additional filtration medium.
Frame Construction
Heavy-duty, moisture resistant, die-cut frame will nt warp, crack or distort under normal operating conditions.
Specifications
Manufactured per ASHRAE Standard 52.2P to exceed proposed filtration requirements (per ASHRAE Standard 62.2). 1" and 2" filters handle velocities up to 500 FPM, 4" filters up to 625 FPM. The filter element is of fire retardant and water resistant construction, and will withstand temeperatures up to 300ºF. U.L. Listed, Class 2.
