Air filteration products which only control dust, dirt, and other particulates have become obsolete with today's available technology. Microbiologists have known for years that air filters are breeding grounds for the speading of microorganisms. We have engineered our next generation of indoor air filters, BON-AIRE POLYCARB(TM), to filter molecules to microns in a filter that's comparable in cost to existing filters in the market. With this new process we can now control harmful airborne biological microorganisms, gasses and VOC's (volatile organic compounds) in addition to particulates. BON-AIRE POLYCARB(TM) filters utilize a proprietary three-stage, low air resistant filtering process in a range of carbon and zeolite loading to fit the particular application. Particulate Control (First stage Filtering) Polycarb Filters use a high density synthetic blend media to capture and retain airborne particulates. rated average efficiency is 20-25% on atmosphere dust.

Biological Control (Second stage Filtering) The AEGIS Microbe Shield treatment is an integral part of every POLYCARB filter. This unique suface-active chemistry destroys airborne germs, gram (+) gram (-) bacteria, fungi, molds, mildew, yeast, and algae on contact while excluding the filter itself as a future growth site for microbial contamination. The AEGIS technology is patented and specifically registered with the EPA (No. 342921) for air filtration use. The AEGIS permanent bonding process provides unequaled biological control without odors, migration, or off-gassing and without creating organism mutation.

Odorous Gasses and VOC's Control (Third stage Filtering) Polycarb Filters also contain PURASORB, a high density, carboned filled, fibrous absorption media that absorbs and controls airborne gasses and VOC's. It's standard low aire resistance, 100% surface absorption design, incorporates up to 900 grams per sq. ft. of virgin carbon (60% minimum activity). The PURASORB design addittionally incorporates other types of absorbents to improve absortion performance in controlly specific compounds.

POLYCARB filters contain PURASORBTM, a high density, carbon filled, fibrous absorption media that absorbs and controls airborne gasses and VOCs. Its standard low air resistance and 100% surface adsorption design incorporates up to 900 grams per sq. ft. of virgin carbon (60% minimum activity). PURASORB's design additionally incorporates other types of absorbents to improve adsorption performance in controlling specific compounds. Both the PURASORB and POLYCARB filtering stages are supplied with a range of carbon loading from 20 to 900 grams per sq. ft. ASHRAE and biological testing of POLYCARB and PURASORB has shown a remarkably low initial static pressure with high carbon loadings.
